Akseli Ensio "Axu" Kokkonen (born 27 February 1984) is a Norwegian former ski jumper. He was born to Kari and Anneli Kokkonen in Oslo, Norway, and is the younger brother of Elmeri Kokkonen. He had Finnish nationality and spent most of his childhood in Finland. In 2006 Kokkonen was taken out of the Finnish national team due to an injury and bad performances. He was not allowed to jump in any World Cup competition and only competed in a few Continental and FIS Cup competitions. With the Finnish team refusing to grant him a place on the World Cup tour again, Kokkonen grew tired of this and after much work became a Norwegian citizen. One of the reasons was also that all his friends are in Norway, and his only ties to neighbouring Finland are his parents who live there. He returned to World Cup competition for the 2009–10 season, representing Norway.
