The Women's downhill competition of the Beijing 2022 Olympics will be held on 15 February, on the "Rock" course at Yanqing National Alpine Ski Centre ski resort in Yanqing District.[1]
Sofia Goggia is the defending champion. The silver medalist, Ragnhild Mowinckel, qualified as well, and the bronze medalist, Lindsey Vonn, retired from competitions. At the 2021–22 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, eight downhill events were held before the Olympics. Goggia was leading the ranking, followed by Corinne Suter and Ramona Siebenhofer. Suter is the 2021 world champion, with Kira Weidle and Lara Gut-Behrami being the silver and bronze medalists, respectively.
