Ana Torfs (born 1963) is a Belgian visual artist.

She was born in Mortsel and studied communication science at the University of Leuven and film and video at the Sint-Lukas University College of Art and Design in Brussels. In 2013, she was named a docent at the LUCA School of Arts. Torfs lives and works in Brussels.[1][2]

She uses a wide range of media in her work including slide projections, audio, photographs, video, tapestries and silk screen.[2]

Torfs has had solo exhibitions at the Centro de Arte Moderna [de] in Lisbon, at Generali Foundation in Vienna, at Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Düsseldorf, at the Sprengel Museum in Hanover, at daadgalerie in Berlin, at Gesellschaft für Aktuelle Kunst [de] in Bremen and at Wiels, the Centre for Fine Arts and the Argos Centre for Art and Media in Brussels. She has participated in group exhibitions including the Manifesta 9 in Genk, the Sharjah Biennial in 2013, the International Biennial of Contemporary Art of Cartagena de Indias in 2014, the Parasophia International Festival of Contemporary Culture in Kyoto in 2015,[1] La Biennale de Montreal in 2000 and the Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art in 1999.[3]

In 2004, A Prior magazine dedicated an issue to three artists including Torfs.[1]
