Anil Panachooran (born P.U. Anilkumar 20 November 1965, Kayamkulam, Kerala, India) is a noted Malayalam film lyricist and poet. A lawyer by profession, Panachooran lives on the income from his lyrical and poetic work.[1] His songs are predominantly on romantic themes.

His noted lines include Chora veena mannil ninnum from the 2007 Malayalam film Arabikkatha by Lal Jose in which he acted as one of the singers and Vyathyasthanamoru Barbaram Balane from the 2007 film Kadha Parayumbol by M. Mohanan which was sung by Pradeep Palluruthy.

Biography

Anil Panachooran was born in the village of Puthuppally Govinthamuttam in Kayamkulam, a part of Alappuzha district, Kerala. His full name is P.U. Anilkumar.[clarification needed] He did his studies from T. K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara, Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram and Kakatiya University, Warangal.[citation needed]
