The Arthur and Stella Sanford House is an historic residence located in Sioux City, Iowa, United States. The house was built in 1914 for Lucia Stone for $12,000.[2] Arthur and Stella Sanford bought the home in 1936. He was a well known promoter, developer and philanthropist in Sioux City. He is associated with the development of the Sioux City Orpheum Theatre. The couple were active in community affairs and gave substantial donations to a variety of causes. The Sanford Center, a multi-cultural community house, in Sioux City bears their name.[2] Their home was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.[1]
