Back to the Future: The Pinball is a 1990 pinball machine designed by Joe Kaminkow, Ed Cebula and released by Data East, based on the Back to the Future motion picture trilogy.
Background
The game features three songs from the movies, two from the first film and one from the third film. Huey Lewis' The Power of Love and Back in Time, ZZ Top's Doubleback and Alan Silvestri's orchestral theme.
Michael J. Fox refused to permit his image to be used to adorn the backglass of the game,[citation needed] so the replacement image of his character Marty McFly wearing sunglasses was portrayed by Brad Faris, son of Data East pinball artwork designer Paul Faris.
New custom speech for the pinball was done by Fred Young and Back to the Future regular Tom Wilson.
