Badnera is a town in Amravati district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
Geography
The city Badnera is situated at 800km east of Mumbai and 150km in the west of Nagpur.
Badnera has two parts named as Juni Basti (Old Town) and nai Basti (New Town).
Juni Basti is famous for the Dargah of Hazrat Almas Shah Urf Kamli Wale Bawa.
Every year Urs is celebrated in the month of April and May.
Badnera is also known for Hindu Muslim Unity.
People belonging to both the communities live here peacefully and co-operate with one another.
Ziri locality is one of the well developed and famous area in (New Town) Badnera, because of the temple of Dutta and the temple of Shri Ram. Belora Airport is also the nearest airport from Badnera, which is just 4 km away.
Transport
The city diverts the roads to Yavatmal, Akola, Aurangabad and Amravati. It is also connected with AMT city bus from Amravati. It is well connected with MSRTC buses.
Rail:Badnera Railway Station is major railway station in Amravati. All major trains stop here, It is situated on the Howrah-Nagpur-Mumbai line, Badnera railway station, a junction station, offers connections to Pune,Nagpur,Mumbail and a link towards Amravati and another branch line to narkhed which connect Howrah-Nagpur-Mumbai line and Delhi-Chennai line.

Badnera Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
The assembly constituency of Badnera is a part of Amravati parliamentary constituency. It was for the first time that an independent candidate won from the constituency. Ravi Rana, an independent candidate won the 2009 assembly elections and is the present MLA. He defeated his nearest rival Sulabha Sanjay Khodke of NCP with a huge margin. Rana received 73031 votes as against Khodke's 54260 votes.He again defeated Mr.Band Sanjay Raosaheb of Shivsena. Rana received 46827 votes as against BAnd's 39408 votes.
