Betti Alisjahbana, (born Betti Setiastuti; August 2, 1960)[1] is an Indonesian business executive. She graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the Bandung Institute of Technology.
Alisjahbana has worked in information technology, both in Indonesia and in the South Asia region. She began working for IBM Indonesia in 1984. From 1996 to 1998, she served as General Manager, General Business, IBM ASEAN and South Asia. From 1998-1999, she was General Manager, e-business and Cross Industry Solutions for IBM ASEAN and South ASIA. From 2000 to 2008, she was the CEO of IBM Indonesia. She was the first woman ever throughout all IBM in Asia Pacific regions to lead IBM operations for the country.[citation needed]
In 2008, Alisjahbana founded QB International, a company that focuses on the creative industry. QB Headlines, QB Architects and QB Creative IT are three lines of businesses she is currently involved with in the company.
At the closing of IGOS (Indonesia, Go Open Source!) on May 28, 2008, along with the official establishment of Association for Open Source Indonesia (AOSI), Alisjahabana was appointed as the Ambassador for Open Source Indonesia and now sits as the Chairwoman of AOSI.
She is also on the Board of Trustees of United States-Indonesia Society (USINDO) and recently was elected to sit on the Board of Trustees of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). She also serves as the Chairwoman of Tujuh Sembilan ITB Foundations.
She is married to Mario Alisjahbana, the son of Indonesian prominent writer, author and novelist, Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana.
