Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes (born 8 September 1994) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Italian club Udinese Calcio as a midfielder.

Club career

Novara

Born in Maia, Metropolitan Area of Porto, Fernandes played most of his youth football with local Boavista FC. On 27 August 2012, he signed with Novara Calcio in Italy, where he completed his formation.

After only a few weeks with the youth sides, Fernandes was promoted to the first team in Serie B, appearing in slightly more than half of the league games during the season to help his team to the fifth position and the promotion playoffs.

Udinese

In the 2013 summer, Fernandes signed for Udinese Calcio in a co-ownership deal.[1] He made his debut in Serie A on 3 November, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 0–3 home loss against Inter Milan.[2]

Fernandes scored his first league goal on 7 December 2013, contributing to a 3–3 draw at S.S.C. Napoli.[3] He repeated the feat in the second match between the sides (1–1)[4] having previously been acquired by the club in total on 30 January 2014.[5]
