CKRI-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting an adult contemporary format on the frequency 100.7 FM in Red Deer, Alberta branded as 100.7 CRUZ FM.
At 6am on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 100.7 FM The River launched with the song "I Gotta Feeling" By the Black Eyed Peas. During the Christmas season the River rebranded with an all-Christmas music format as "Red Deer's Christmas Station".
On August 22, 2014 at 3:00PM, 100.7fm The River rebranded as 100.7 CRUZ FM. The last song played by 100.7 FM The River was A Change Would Do You Good by Sheryl Crow. The first song played on Cruz FM was Start Me Up by The Rolling Stones.
License history
CKRI received approval by the CRTC on October 17, 2008, along with other applications to serve Red Deer, which the commission approves in part to use the 100.7 MHz frequency:[1]
