a laughing stub

[edit]

Sorry, does someone someone know about this category? With M.R. Abrams, Carla Bley, Bob Dorough, Hermeto Pascoal, André Previn, Lalo Schifrin, all grand figures of the last ct., who were already in their 60s or older by 2000, one could assume jazz is dead. (And Jarrett –now 75– plays standards and his solo performances are improvised (compositions) throughout.) Maybe there is a redundancy with '21st-century jazz musician'.
