What are public commons? Renaming this category[edit]

I propose to rename this category to 'Commons' instead of 'Public commons'. Public commons is not very far from being an oxymoron. As a property denominator, common property is recognized as one of four property types, public goods being another. Secondly, when talking about 'commons' as historical property regime, club goods are closer in succession to common goods than are public goods (especially in Ostromian analysis). My proposal would be to turn this category into a broad commons-related category and get rid of the confusing 'Public' adjective. SocSch (talk) 13:46, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
