List

[edit]

I guess I'll start List of ski areas and resorts in British Columbia, which as a title allows for defunct areas like Silvertip Ski Area (British Columbia) and Diamond Head Ski Area (aka Brohm Ridge, or on the same site as the proposed Brohm Ridge development); also community hills now-defunct like the Bralorne Ski Club (one of the first downhill clubs in the province, in the 1930s) and maybe even micro-ones though most arent' notable (there was one on Mission Ridge above Shalalth). Also what about cross-country ski trail areas? The cat name and contents imply downhill skiing.....Other than the 108 Mile x-country area there are others (the Lost Lake/Valley Trail system at Whistler, in fact, is one) and I think the Tetrahedron area above Sechelt qualifies....would a subcat Category:Cross-country ski areas and resorts in British Columbia be more suitable....wondering also about including these on {{Ski areas and resorts in British Columbia}}.Skookum1 (talk) 15:10, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The United States has separate categories for defunct ski areas, so perhaps a new category would be a good place for the closed ones you mentioned. Jrclark (talk) 19:05, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Probably; there's no articles on any of them yet, though; not that I'm aware of.....we do have lots of "ski resorts that got shot down in the planning process" and "proposed ski resorts" though.....Skookum1 (talk) 19:06, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
