Is this important category? And for what?

[edit]

In Japanese wikipedia, such a category like this one doesn't exist. Instead of this kind of categories, Japanese wikipedia has categories named after companies, not lines. I can't revise the categories by myself (for time limitation), though. --Izumi5 06:54, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This was discussed at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Trains_in_Japan#Category_split_proposal. The line categories should be in categories named for the companies, but nobody has made the company categories yet. There is also a proposal farther down that page to change this (and other) categories to Category:Stations of Tōkaidō Main Line. - Neier 12:14, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for reply. Then, if I revise these categories, no one will blame, right? I said I can't, but I may be able to do it seperately. --Izumi5 12:39, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think that if this category is a part of Category:Central Japan Railway Company, then the recent edit you made to Tōkaidō Main Line is not necessary. The Tōkaidō Main Line article is already a member of the Category:Tōkaidō Main Line. The Category:Tōkaidō Main Line should be a child category of Category:Central Japan Railway Company, Category:Railway lines of Japan, etc. It is more like a web than a category tree.
