Only a single surname?

Why is there only a single surname in this category? This situation seriously undermines the credibility of our encyclopedia. Breaking our category structure without any plan or action to substitute a proper categorization system is inexcusable, and must be rectified immediately! Because there was massive quite disagreeable haste deletion, see Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2009_June_6#Category:Surnames_by_country. Since then I restored only one item, the one I accidentally came across. - Altenmann >t 04:55, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
