Cheemeni is a village in Kasaragod district in the state of Kerala, India. The name "Cheemeni" arose from the word "Sreemeni" which means that the body of sree.Nearest town is Cheruvathur. [citation needed] Cheemeni Vishnumurthy temple has lakhs of devotees visiting every year.[1]

As of 2001 India census, Cheemeni had a population of 8032 with 3805 males and 4227 females.[1]
