Cheemeni is a village in Kasaragod district in the state of Kerala, India. The name "Cheemeni" arose from the word "Sreemeni" which means that the body of sree.Nearest town is Cheruvathur. ^{[citation needed]} Cheemeni Vishnumurthy temple has lakhs of devotees visiting every year.^[1]
