It operates as train number 22601 from Chennai Central to Sainagar Shirdi and as train number 22602 in the reverse direction serving the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka & Maharashtra. Coaches

The 22601 / 02 Chennai Cenral – Sainagar Shirdi Express has one AC 2-tier, five AC 3-tier, 11 sleeper class, three general unreserved & two SLR (seating with luggage rake) coaches . Traction

Because this route is partially electrified, a Arakkonam Junction–based electric WAP-1 pulls the train up to Dharmavaram Junction, then a Erode Junction based diesel WDM-3A loco pulls the train to its destination.
