1994 Colombian presidential election

In May and June 1994, presidential elections were held in Colombia. The first round, held in May, was won by former Ambassador to Spain Ernesto Samper, candidate of the Colombian Liberal Party, with 45,3% of the vote. His closest runner-ups were Andrés Pastrana Arango, candidate of the Colombian Conservative Party (44,98%) and former guerrilla leader Antonio Navarro Wolff (3,79%). The second round, held in June, was also won by Samper, winning with a narrow margin of 50,57% against Pastrana who received 48,45%.
