Connie Mason (born August 24, 1937 in Washington, D.C.) is an American model and actress who was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its June 1963 issue. Mason then acted in the gore movies pioneered by Herschell Gordon Lewis, Blood Feast and Two Thousand Maniacs!. Her centerfold was photographed by Pompeo Posar. She was also a Playboy Bunny at the Chicago club.[1]

Biography

Connie was born in 1937 in Washington, D.C. Mason began her career in the early 1960s. She attended a private school for girls in Danville, Virginia. At the age of 21, Connie was married to actor Tony Young but she divorced him a few years later and moved to Florida to be near her family. She was managing the cosmetics department for a large department store in Miami when her parents invited that she apply for a job at the new Playboy Club. Connie became a "camera bunny" at the club, making a great deal of money in tips. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its June 1963 issue. Then, she continued working as a model in some TV ads when she was discovered by director Herschell Gordon Lewis in 1963, Connie was hired to work in the horror movie Blood Feast (1963) directed by him the same year, there she met actor William Kerwin, in 1964 they got married and had two daughters : Denise Kerwin and Kim Kerwin, who also became actresses thereafter. Suggested by her husband, Connie played a leading part in the film 2000 maníacos (1964) also directed by Lewis. Connie also appeared in several movies in small roles. She is the stepmother of the actors Ken Olandt and Tom Everett.
