Costa Ronin (born 3 February 1979) is a Russian-born Australian actor and cinematographer, best known for appearance in Red Dog, as Gregorovich on the SBS drama East West 101, and as Oleg Igorevich Burov in the FX drama The Americans.[1]
Early life and education
Ronin was born in Kalinigrad in the former Soviet Union in 1979.[2] In his youth, he moved to Wellington, New Zealand with his mother and studied international relations and political science at Victoria University, before moving to Perth, Australia for further tertiary education[2] and, later, to Sydney.[3][4]
At the age of 15, Ronin commenced working and learned about American culture at a radio station that taught English through music.[3]

Personal life
Growing up in Kalinigrad, Ronin was taught to sail by his father and grandfather at the age of 5 and remains passionate about it.[3] Ronin is also an avid motorcyclist.[6]
Ronin resides in Los Angeles.[2][6] Ronin used to live in Surry Hills, a suburb in Sydney, Australia.[7]
Ronin's grandmother lives in Australia.[2]
