Dark is an upcoming Netflix original German language supernatural family drama series co-created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese scheduled for release on December 1, 2017.[1][2][3]

Cast

Premise

The disappearance of two young children in a German town brings light to the fractured relationships, double lives and past of four families living there.[1]

Production

In February 2016 Netflix greenlit the series for a first season consisting of 10 episodes.[4] It was revealed that each episode would be an hour long.[1] Principal photography started on October 18, 2016 in and around Berlin and is expected to last until the end of March, 2017.[1] The series will be available in 4K (Ultra HD) resolution.[5]
