1993 studio album by Heart
Desire Walks On is the eleventh studio album by the American rock band Heart . Released in 1993, it yielded three chart hits: "Will You Be There (In the Morning) ", which reached No. 39 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, "Black on Black II", which hit No. 4 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart,[3] and "The Woman in Me ", which was an Adult Contemporary Chart peaking at No. 24.[4] The album peaked at number No. 48 in the U.S.[5] as well as being predominantly written by lead members Ann and Nancy Wilson . The album was certified gold for 500,000 copies sold in the U.S. “Back to Avalon” was released to radio and spent three weeks on the country airplay chart, Heart’s only track to do so.
Layne Staley , lead vocalist of the Seattle grunge band Alice in Chains , sings with the Wilson sisters on the cover of Bob Dylan 's "Ring Them Bells".
The original European 1993 release and the US 2001 re-release were expanded to add Spanish language versions of "The Woman in Me" and "Will You Be There (In the Morning)", the latter in a remixed format.
This is the final Heart studio album to feature long time member Howard Leese . Aside from the Wilson sisters, Leese is the longest serving member of Heart.
