Description

The 1st constituency of Doubs includes the north and west of Besançon as well as the rural areas to its west towards the border with Jura.

Since 1988 the constituency has been a bellwether seat, voting in favour of the party that wins the election and can as such be viewed as an indicator for the political mood of France as a whole.
