The 2024 Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship will be the 120th staging of the Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Westmeath County Board in 1903.
St Oliver Plunkett's were promoted to the championship as Senior 'B' champions[1] replacing relegated Fr Daltons from last year. [2]
A total of six teams contest the Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship. Raharney enter the championship as defending champions.[3][4][5]Castlepollard, Castletown Geoghegan, Clonkill, Lough Lene Gaels and St. Oliver Plunkett's round out the field.
All six teams enter the round-robin stage, playing each other once, guaranteeing at least five championship games. The top team gets a bye to the final, playing the winner of a lone final between second and third. Last placed team gets relegated to Senior 'B'.
The first round draws of games were streamed live via YouTube on April 4[6], while the full schedule was released via Twitter on June 17.[7]
