The California Baptist Men's Soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of California Baptist University. The team is a member of the Western Athletic Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The official California Baptist soccer program began in the year of 1969 as the mascot called the Lancers represented the California Baptist University, located in Riverside, California, reaching intercollegiate sports as a member of division 1 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), competing in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).[1]

Soccer stadium and field[edit]

The soccer stadium is a weekly venue comprised of natural playing grass with hybrid Bermuda Bandera sod.[2] The stadium was built for 3.9 million dollars and the structure is located on the Riverside, California University campus.[3][4]

Sports Illustrated has highlighted the men's soccer team reaching Division I of the NCAA tournament.[5] The team is known to produce a vast amount of international professional soccer players and coaches from southern California.[6]

Preston Judd was drafted by the LA Galaxy during the 2021 MLS SuperDraft[7] along with Aidan Apodaca.[citation needed]
