Delbert Shoopman (born July 20 1981) is an Emmy & BAFTA award winning producer, and writer. Shoopman serves as CEO of The Natural Studios which is a joint venture with the Banijay Group [1], and has a footprint of global properties watched by over 2 billion people, with an aggregated audience of over 120 million for Running Wild alone.
Career
[edit]Delbert started his career as 110th Fighter Wing in United States Air Force where he was deployed as part of both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2001 and 2003.
In 2010, he co-founnded BGV Media, a management and production company which manages shows for Bear Grylls.
In 2019, he founded The Natural Studios, a production house with Bear Grylls.
Awards and Honors
[edit]In 2015, he won The Royal Television Society Award and British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award for The Island with Bear Grylls. [2]
In 2017, he won British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award for Bear Grylls Survival School.
In 2019, he, as an executive producer, was nominated in You vs. Wild for Outstanding Original Interactive Program in Emmy Awards. [3]
In 2021, he was nominated as an executive producer in Running Wild with Bear Grylls for Outstanding Structured Reality Program in Emmy Awards. [4]
In 2022, he won as an executive producer in You vs. Wild for Outstanding Interactive Media in Emmy Awards. [5]
