Endre Haukland (born July 11, 1982.) is a Norwegian actor and entertainer from Harstad. He graduated from LIPA in 2008 with bachelor in acting 1-class with honors.[1].

Career

Film and TV

Endre Haukland began his TV-career as a host for Mess-TV in 2003. He is also featured in TV-shows such as Dag, Helt Perfekt, Rabalder and Neste Sommer. He played the secondary school teacher in the NRK-Super show Jenter (directed by Julie Andem) for several seasons. Endre Haukland is the host (as the character Arild) in the TV2 Oiii show Æsj!?[2].

Haukland has played feature roles in several short films, Play Schengen from 2020 (written and directed by Gunhild Enger). In 2022 he played the lead in Rooms by the sea (written and directed by Oscar Nominee Eirik Tveiten). Haukland played the antagonist in the 2022 award winning horror Short Busuvatnet 1989 (directed by Filip Koren) Haukland himself directed the musical short film Under The Maple Tree that went on to win the P3 award shooting star of the year in 2010[3]. The film was also part of the Norwegian short film festival in Grimstad[4].

Endre Haukland played Stian, one of the leads in the feature film De Gjenvendte from 2024[5]

Stage

In 2020 Haukland developed the quiz concept Hits for Quiz[6] with Bjørge Verbaan. The quiz includes a live band and is filled with musical and physical antics. Hits for Quiz quickly grew to be a widely popular entertainment concept at Brød & Sirkus[7]. Four years after its premiere it still runs weekly[8], with new content in a packed venue seating 200 persons.

In addition Endre Haukland has developed the popular quiz concept Kvalifisert Gjetning.

Haukland worked as an acting teacher at Solbakken folkehøgskole from 2009-2018[9]
