History
[edit]Binod Kunwar from Gulmi and his wife Sadikshya are commencing the building process of the Extratech Oval Cricket Stadium in Ward No. 17 of Tilottama Municipality, situated in the Rupandehi district. Working in the IT sector in Australia, Kunwar is dedicating a substantial investment exceeding Rs. 400 million towards creating a world-class venue. His contribution has earned expressions of gratitude from numerous Nepalis, conveyed both in person and electronically.[2]
The grand opening of the Extratech Oval Cricket Ground, had feature an exhilarating friendly cricket tournament. Nepal's cricketing legends were poised to engage in an enthralling match as a highlight of the inaugural ceremony. The lineup for the friendly cricket tournament included the Rupandehi Legends, representing the squad from 1996 in Nepal's inaugural international match, the 2014 T20 World Cup team, and the Rest of Nepal.[3][4]
