The game serves as an adaptation of the 2019 book of the same name, originally written by Five Nights at Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon and Elley Cooper, from the Fazbear Frights series of graphic novels. It portrays the events depicted in a 2D interactive side scroller in a pixel art style.
