Georgia Alexandra Fendley (born 1971) is a British graphic designer. Founder of a creative agency Construct.
Personal life[edit]
Born in Wales, Fendley studied at Cardiff College of Art and Brighton University.
The daughter of designer Brian Shields[1] and design lecturer and illustrator Sue Shields[2], Georgia was educated at Howells School Llandaff in Cardiff.
Attended Cardiff College of Art for foundation studies and Brighton Universities for a BA in Graphic Design Course.
Georgia Fendley is married to the graphic designer Tim Fendley Founder of Applied Information Group.[3]
Career[edit]
Georgia worked for Carter Wong and Partners as design assistant to Phil Carter. During her time at the studio contributing to the agency’s rebrand and communications program for formula one, Unilever’s ice cream rebrand and designing the studio’s tenth anniversary book
Georgia was next employed by a graphic and interior agency called Four IV[4], where she worked for clients in the luxury sector including Harvey Nichols and Mulberry.[5]
In 2004 Fendley founded Construct London Limited[6] a design agency focussed on the creation of brand identity. Construct is known for work in the hospitality and luxury sectors.[7]
As founder and creative director of Construct Georgia Fendley has created the logotypes/ brand identities for Airelles, Aman, Baur au Lac, The Berkeley, Boodles, Capella, Carolina Bucci, Claridge’s, The Dorchester, Epi, Frette, Harvey Nichols, Hotel Bel Air, The Lana, Le Kasha, Omniyat, Mulberry, Wadi Safar, The Lana.[8]
From 2008-2012 Fendley was brand director of British fashion and leather goods brand Mulberry.[9]
Fendley remains Executive Creative Director of Construct the agency she founded. Construct joined together group in 2021.[10]
