Draft:Gorilla Tag ghost

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Gorilla Tag ghost, also known as a Gorilla Tag creepypasta, and known in-game as just ghosts, are creepypastas on Gorilla Tag controlled by modders, hackers, and other people. They have unusual behaviours, play songs in creepy ways, (such as Daisy Bell in the sound of an AI, or Run, Rabbit, Run being played slowed or distorted.) and have powerful abilities. (such as doxing, teleporting, game-crashing, banning, kicking, and other abilities.)

Behaviour/Abilities

[edit]

The behaviour of a Gorilla Tag ghost varies. What they do in common is that they will first point at you. (Pointing at you directly, e.g. Daisy09, or pointing at your name on the leaderboard, e.g. PBBV.) They have different strategies on how to tag you, like chasing you directly, super-speed, teleporting towards you, freezing your game and crashing, and other strategies. Gorilla Tag ghosts also play immutable music, like Daisy Bell, Run, Rabbit, Run, Tiptoe Through the Tulips, glitching sounds, etc. Unlike the other Gorilla Tag ghosts, J3VU walks so perfectly like an AI that people have literally called J3VU a bot. Also, Daisy09 can change colors when it walks. The abilities of a Gorilla Tag ghost are also frightening and powerful. Some Gorilla Tag ghosts, e.g. Banshee, (Unlike the female spirit.) can dox you. (The information leaked varies to your full name, IP address, family members, school, and address.) Other ghosts can teleport, e.g. Statue. (Not to be confused with Endishere/Statue.) Most Gorilla Tag ghosts can freeze/crash your game, ban or kick. But only Namo can duplicate itself, only Morse can play morse code, only Glitch can play glitchy sounds, and only Bees can make bee noises and fly in the game in a really strange way. Unlike the other Gorilla Tag ghosts, PBBV would pace on the bridge in the forest map in a strange way, and is able to turn into a siren.

History

[edit]

PATHFINDERBOT, PBBV

[edit]

The earliest ever evidence of the beforemath of a Gorilla Tag ghost comes from the first ever footage of a bot created by LemmingVR (Creator of Gorilla Tag.) called "PATHFINDERBOT". It is a white bot monkey that moves around the map, and usually bumps into objects. The first sighting of the bot leads to people discovering that PBBV stands for "Player Bot Beta Version". The theory is that it was added to the game in May 2021. While the PATHFINDERBOT was the first evidence of a Gorilla Tag ghost, (Even though it was completely innocent, @vrplayer100 changed it to the hostile PBBV.) the first "real" one was PBBV. First encountered on August 6th, 2021, (Not long after the game was released.) PBBV has been haunting the game. The first encounter was when a group of kids, including a famous Reddit user named @vrplayer100, were on a private server and went to the bridge. They saw a salmon monkey named "PBBV" and they tried to tag him. The group got kicked or banned, and the kid that tagged him got banned.

Echo, J3VU, Daisy09

[edit]

The second Gorilla Tag ghost was Echo. She was made to despise PBBV and Azil, and she likes to go to the canyons map. The first encounter is unknown, but she was probably made in August 2021. The creator of Echo is a Discord user named "Echomist" who was being made fun of by PBBV and Azil when the two were making genderist comments about Echomist being female. PBBV then doxed Echomist by sending pictures of her and her boyfriend in a school dance, school, leaked her full name, etc.So she made "Echo" to stop PBBV. The next Gorilla Tag ghost is J3VU. He is rumoured to be created by a Gorilla Tag user named "TeddyVR" who was inspired by the PBBV project. The next ghost is Daisy09. Said to be as popular as PBBV, Daisy09 is a pink Gorilla Tag ghost first made in August 2021 and first encountered by a Discord user named "PumpkinPie99". She was in the code "Chill" and saw a keppel monkey named "HAPPYMONKE" and was playing Daisy Bell. She kicked PumpkinPie99, and Daisy09 started getting viral.

Namo, Endishere/Statue, tons others

[edit]

Ever since 2022, people felt like Gorilla Tag ghosts were just jokes. Gorilla Tag ghost-trolling (Pretending/trolling as a Gorilla Tag ghost, mostly using a mod menu.) became viral on YouTube, and more Gorilla Tag ghosts were being made. (One of the most popular Gorilla Tag ghosts at the time was Namo, a player model/Gorilla Tag ghost controlled by LHacks that could duplicate itself into three entities. If you tag all three of them, you would get banned for one week.) More people were ghost-hunting, unalarmed about other ghosts like Endishere (Also known as Statue.) Run, or in-general not knowing how dangerous they were. Now there are over hunderds of dangerous players.

Deep discovery and slight collapse

[edit]

On August 23rd, 2021, Julian Elchakieh (Famously known as @jmancurly.) began deep, giant discovery videos about Gorilla Tag ghosts. He discovered PBBV, Daisy09, Echo, Goodbye, (A Gorilla Tag ghost that doxed 2 of @jmancurly's friends.) and others. Julian said in one of his videos that when Gorilla Tagers ghost-hunt, they do not dive deep enough. He has joined tons and tons of ghost codes including Sren17, Sren18, PBBV, Daisy09, DaisyDaisy, Chippd, Banjo, etc. After Julian began making these videos on YouTube and on other social medias, more people began being less and less afraid of Gorilla Tag ghosts. If they ever spot the real Gorilla Tag ghosts, they just leave/quit the game for that moment, or they rush to the stump and join another harmless code. This caused more and more ghosts to appear, with scarier abilities like doxing and teleporting. While other ghosts were just there, not as creepy. New, scary Gorilla Tag ghosts from this genre include Banjo, Morton, Smiler.exe, Booty Licker, and early ones include Statue, Tiptoe, both Pauls, Lifeguard, Warning Bot, etc. The frightness of the Gorilla Tag ghosts still appear.

Gorilla Tag ghosts today

[edit]

Many people claimed that around June 2024 the Gorilla Tag ghosts have completely been banned and long gone. Most new entities are just trolls on Fandom, mainly on the Gorilla Tag Ghosts Wiki[1], rarely are they real. New videos about Gorilla Tag ghosts are likely cosplay, unlike 2023 and older just for views. Old ones such as Daisy09 and PBBV have not been spawning in their codes, and it is safe to say for most people that Gorilla Tag ghosts are no more today.
