  • Comment: Prior to the first decline, I did leave a comment asking about additional references that meet WP:ORGCRIT (I only found one). After the decline, only one additional reference was added which does not meet the criteria. CNMall41 (talk) 06:46, 2 November 2023 (UTC)

Identiv (originally SCM Microsystems) is a digital security and Internet of Things technology company listed on the Nasdaq stock market.[3][4]

Identiv provides physical and digital solutions employing radio frequency identification (RFID) and near field communication (NFC) technologies.[4] The company has customers in the government, enterprise, consumer, education, healthcare and transportation sectors.[5]

Identiv is headquartered in Fremont, California, and has additional locations in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific.[2]

History

[edit]

Identiv was founded in 1990 in Munich, Germany as SCM Microsystems GmbH. It received venture capital from Index Ventures[6] and made its initial public offering on the Nasdaq stock market in 1997, then headquartered in California, USA.[7]

In 2009, SCM Microsystems completed a merger with Hirsch Electronics[8] and acquired Bluehill ID. The new combination was renamed to Identiv Group, shortened to Identiv in 2014.[9][2] In 2018, Identiv went on to acquire Thursby Software Systems[10] and 3VR.[11]
