Joanne Rupp (née LaBate) is an American writer and educator born in Hibbing, Minnesota. She currently resides in Neenah, Wisconsin, with her husband, Terry, and the couple has operated a small business in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for over 21 years. They have four children and four grandchildren. Rupp is a certified substitute teacher in Wisconsin, authorized to teach students from ages three through twelfth grade[2]. Prior to her certification, she owned and managed a licensed preschool and daycare center for seventeen years.

Rupp's writing career began during her time as a junior high school correspondent, contributing to school newspapers and subsequently to the Hibbing Daily Tribune in her hometown. Over the years, she has also contributed to various company publications, where she has provided a mix of engaging and informative content. Her work encompasses a broad range of styles and subjects, reflecting her expansive view of the world.[2]
