Kim Waltrip is a an American film producer and film director.

Career

Waltrip was president of Palm Springs Women in Film and Television.[1] She created the Filmmakers Lab which has produced four short films and six episodes of a series called PS After Dark starring Tristan Rogers.[2] The Filmmakers Lab was later renamed Kim Waltrip's Filmmakers Lab.[3]

With Kate Spates, Waltrip directed the comedy Accidental Date.[4] Waltrip also directed Aftermath starring Eileen Davidson and Jameelah Nuriddin[5] and The Splendor of You.[6] She is the co-founder of the Feartastic Horror Film Festival.[7]

Her projects include Hit and Run (2012), starring Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, and Bradley Cooper; The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby (2014), starring Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, and William Hurt; Back in the Day (2014), starring Michael Rosenbaum and Morena Baccarin, 7 Days to Vegas (2019); and the PBS special Diahann Carroll, The Lady, The Music, The Legend.[8]
