Draft:Melodic techno

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Melodic techno is a subgenre of techno that emphasizes the use of melodic elements while maintaining a stripped-down, minimalistic approach, greatly influenced by trance music[1].

The tempo of melodic techno is slower, usually in the range of 120-125 BPM[2], it focuses on creating a hypnotic, and atmospheric sound using repetitive patterns and delicate percussion instruments, with evocative drops, subtle changes in sound, drawing inspiration from Minimal Techno[3][4]. The use of synthesizers combined with enveloping bass lines and hypnotic beats make melodic techno a natural successor to 1990s trance, a genre that later evolved into a more energetic style with more bass[5].
