Nabeel Qadeer ((1982-05-10)May 10, 1982) is a Pakistani entrepreneur, certified coach and author.

His work has focused on the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Pakistan,[1] where he has held roles at both local and global organizations, including the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and the Commonwealth.

Nabeel has been the Global Winner of the UK Study Alumni Awards 2024 in the Business and Innovation Category.[2][3]

Career

Entrepreneurship

Nabeel co-founded Technopsis, a software development and consulting company, in 2009 [4] that later evolved into Technopsis UK Ltd.

In 2012, after completing his master's degree, Nabeel returned to Pakistan to join PITB. During his tenure, he set-up Plan9, Pakistan's largest tech incubator;[5][6] in his capacity as Director Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development, he led various initiatives including PlanX tech accelerator,[7] Techhub Connect,[8] and e-Rozgaar. Plan9, through its Network Partnership Program, facilitated the establishment of business incubators at universities across the country.[9][10][8]

He conceptualised and hosted Idea Croron Ka – Pakistan's first business reality show, which was launched in 2017.[11][12][13] It was premiered in Russia and USA, and ran four successful seasons, with PKR 510 Million worth of investments committed to 42 startup founders.[14]

Nabeel has held various global positions to develop international opportunities for entrepreneurs and enabling them to access diverse markets and networks. These include his roles as board member of Commonwealth Youth City Global Initiative,[15] Chairman of Commonwealth Youth Innovation Hub Pakistan,[16][15] and Chair of United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Entrepreneurship Project for Pakistan.[17]

Nabeel has been a visiting faculty for entrepreneurship and leadership at leading universities of Pakistan including his alma matter National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Information Technology University and Beaconhouse National University.[18][19] For mid-stage startups, he has conducted Entrepreneurship Masterclass as CEO DirAction.

Digital Transformation and Innovation

Nabeel has been a digital transformation and business technology consultant to various SMEs in Pakistan, with a focus on digitalisation and automating processes for efficiency.

He has been the CIO at the Superior Group[20] - including Superior University, Country Consultant - Pakistan for Stacks,[21] and currently holds the position of Deputy Group CEO of BenchMatrix LLC.[22]

Nabeel led the effort of drafting the first IT Policy[23] for the Government of Punjab.

Author

Nabeel has authored This Book is About YOU,[24] a self-help and management book, and has been a regular contributor to national periodicals[25][26][27] and reports.[28][29]

The concepts from his book have been presented at leading platforms including Tedx.[30]

Awards

In recognition of his efforts to promote entrepreneurship, Nabeel was awarded the Young Development Leader Award 2016 by the Government of Pakistan.[31]    

Nabeel is the Global Winner of UK Study Alumni Awards 2024 in the Business and Innovation Category.[2][3]

Education and Certification

Nabeel completed Masters in Business and Management with distinction from Strathclyde Business School, University of Strathclyde in 2012. He represented the university at international forums including The Negotiation Challenge.[32]

He completed Bachelors in Computer Science from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Lahore in 2005.

Nabeel is a certified Project Management Professional from PMI and an ICF Senior Certified Professional Coach.
