Neo-city pop ( Japanese: ネオ・シティ・ポップ, Hepburn: neo shiti poppu) is a genre of Japanese popular music that emerged around the 2010s based on the revival of City pop.[1][2]
Neo city pop employs elements of acid jazz, UK soul ( British soul ), trip hop, and abstract hip hop.[1]
