Nicolas Bijan (born June 12, 1991) is an American fashion designer and businessman. He is the owner and runs the menswear brand, House of Bijan.[citation needed]
Early life and education[edit]
Bijan was born on June 12, 1991, in Los Angeles, California to Bijan Pakzad and Tracy Murdock. His father was a businessman and fashion designer who founded the House of Bijan in 1976, while his mother is an Irish-Japanese interior designer and model.[citation needed] Bijan was raised by his parents and stepfather, David H Murdock, a billionaire businessman, plant-based diet advocate, and philanthropist. He studied business administration and management at Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business.[citation needed]
Career[edit]
He began his career at 16 as a fashion designer at his father’s business, the House of Bijan, a menswear brand. After his father’s death in 2011, Bijan became the company’s vice chairman and co-owner.[1] In 2017, Bijan opened two new outlets, one in Beverly Hills and the other in Las Vegas. In 2014, he launched a women’s collection, starting with a made-to-order handbag.[2] In 2022, Bijan launched a namesake luxury menswear brand, NB44. The NB of NB44 denotes the initials of Nicolas Bijan, while the number 44 represents his father’s date of birth, which is April 04, 1944.[2]
In 2019, Bijan was named in Forbes 30 Under 30 list and received the American Immigrant Society award.[3][4]
Personal life[edit]
Bijan married Roxy Sowlaty, an American television personality and interior designer. The Couple has a daughter named Bijou Bijan, born on February 22.[5][6]
