The band mainly focused on feministic Grunge, bringing forward a bigger female audience where as the band were looking for a more diverse crowd catering for all people. The band were optimistic about being heard, leading the band post their first video to social media platform TikTok of a cover of Hole (band) song Jennifers Body. Discography
[edit]Queens of You's discography consists of 2 songs currently. The first song by the band was 'Cream' introduced at a local open mic event, it was a crowd pleaser. Cream had heavy influence by band Nirvana (band) in its Grunge sort of style using 5th chords, in the key of A major. The song was and still is played at every live event the band play. The song is set to be released mid December 2024 alongside 1 other. Cream is written about a ex-boyfriend who had ill intentions, leaving a sexual aspect, different to the second song. The second song written by the band was 'You and Me'. You and Me was mainly written by Brandon Turbill-Owen, the bands drummer and was played in other styles with other of his band, but the song is credited and solely written by Queens of you. The song is described by many to be aggressive and more Hard rock following inspiration by bands Nirvana (band) and Metallica but keeping its own unique creativity. The song is played less than Cream live as some of the guitar parts written by Brandon Turbill-Owen are more challenging to pull off live. The song has a Heavy metal aspect to it during the verse with short sentences and spread out vocals. The use of the sustained E5 chord helps create a heavy tone to the song. The chorus of 'You and Me' follows the more shown influence of Nirvana (band) by following a progressing Grunge chord pattern
