Submission declined on 7 June 2023 by Mattdaviesfsic (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. |

Townshend Audio is an audio engineering company from London, the UK.[1] It was founded by Australian born engineer Max Townshend in 1975. Max died in December 2021.[2][3][4][5]
Max developed the front-end damping tonearm trough for turntables to minimise vibrations with record playback[6] furthermore he pioneered vibration isolation technology for various audio equipment,[7] prior to which audiophiles considered spikes to be the best approach to coupling speakers to the floor to minimise sound distortion.[8] His engineering innovations and unique design engineering solutions remain popular in the audiophile sphere although there have been harsh critics and detractors amongst audiophiles.[9][10]
