neutrality

[edit]

User:Tagishsimon just discounted this article for their perception that reporting about the hotel's rankings was non-neutral. Perhaps they assume I am personally trying to promote the hotel for some reason. No, I developed that sourced material in order to expand the verifiable, reliable sourcing about stuff in the article. I do believe the topic is Wikipedia-notable, and obviously so, although the article could eventually become better developed from offline sources to which I don't have convenient access, but surely exist in history and newspapers and other sources of Charleston. All removed were entirely factual statements, that Travel + Leisure and U.S. News & World Report and the hotel's website said what they said. Text removed (by me) includes:

According to the hotel, in 2020 it was "voted #1 best hotel in Charleston & #8 in the U.S." in Travel + Leisure, and also in 2020 it was ranked "#1 best South Carolina hotel", "#11 best USA hotel", and "#1 best Small Luxury Hotels in the World" by U.S. News & World Report.[1] It was ranked #2 in Charleston by Travel + Leisure in 2019.[2] It was ranked #17 in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report in 2017.[3]

I didn't particularly care for any of it, don't mind if it is gone. And am resubmitting as removal was direct suggestion of reviewer, their only objection stated. Thanks! --Doncram (talk) 05:33, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
