Elkins Coal and Coke Company Historic District consists of 140 beehive ovens that were the last operating coke ovens in the United States.
It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1983.[2][3]
It is located about 1/2 mile southwest of Masontown, West Virginia and 1/4 mile west of West Virginia Route 7.
