The Emirate of Nejd and Hasa was the third Saudi state that existed from 1902 to 1921.[1] It has also been referred to by historians as the Emirate of Riyadh.[2] It was a monarchy led by the House of Saud.[2] The state was formed after Saudi forces seized Riyadh from the control of the House of Rashid-led Emirate of Ha'il during the Battle of Riyadh.[2]
