Emma Elizabeth Mulqueeny OBE (née Knight; born 12 July 1971) is the founder and chief executive officer of Young Rewired State and Rewired State.[1][3][4][5][6][7] She is also a Commissioner for the Speaker’s Commission on Digital Democracy and a Google Fellow.[8][9][10]
She is the daughter of Kenneth G Knight and Sara Nicholls (née McArtney), and was educated at the University of Surrey.
Awards and honours
Mulqueeny was included in the 166th annual edition of Who’s Who, voted onto the Wired 100 list, Tech City 100 and BIMA Hot 10. She has also been voted one of the top ten women in technology by The Guardian and in the top ten Tech Heroes for Good by NESTA.[7][11]
She was appointed as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2016 Birthday Honours for services to technology and education.[12]
