FK RFS is a professional Latvian football club based in Riga, Latvia. It competes in Virsliga,^[2] the top flight of Latvian football.

History

RFS were promoted to the Virsliga for 2016 when Skonto FC did not obtain a license.^[3]

In 2018, RFS qualified for UEFA Europa League qualifiers for the first time. In RFS debut game RFS managed to win 3:2 away against Olimpija Ljubljana. However they lost at home 0:2, conceding in the very last minute. One year later, the club achieved its first-ever title, the Latvian Cup.^{[citation needed]}

In 2020–21, RFS faced FK Partizan in their UEFA Europa League first qualifying round game. Latvians conceded penalty and lost only 0:1 against famous opponent.
