Faedis (Slovene: Fojda) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) northeast of Udine, on the border with Slovenia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,101 and an area of 46.6 square kilometres (18.0 sq mi).[3] According to the 1971 census, 23,2% of the population are Slovenes.

Faedis borders the following municipalities: Attimis, Kobarid (Slovenia), Moimacco, Povoletto, Pulfero, Remanzacco, Taipana, Torreano.
