Finnishness (Finnish: suomalaisuus) is what makes a Finn a Finn.[1] Ethnic Finnishness can be defined as the identifying focus on Finnish and the nation-state of Finland based on ethnic identity or nationality. Original Finns, historical minorities, newcomer Finns and expatriates all refer to the full spectrum of Finnishness.[2]
