Franz Bernhard Humer (born 1 July 1946)[1] is a Swiss-Austrian businessman, the chairman of Diageo, and of Roche.
Business career
Humer is the chairman of Swiss pharmaceutical company Roche[2] and chairman of Diageo plc, a British multinational alcoholic beverages company, the world's largest producer of spirits and a major producer of beer and wine.
Javier Ferrán will be the next chairman of Diageo, from 1 January 2017, when Humer retires.[3][4]
Humer was chairman of Reed Elsevier from July 2008 to September 2010, when he was succeeded by Anthony Habgood.[5]
Philanthropy
Humer is chairman of the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children, a global nonprofit organization that combats child sexual exploitation, child pornography, and child abduction.[6][7] Humer is chairman at the INSEAD school of business.
