Gülcan Koca (born 4 September 1990) is a Turkish-Australian women's football defender, who currently plays for Australian W-League team Melbourne Victory with jersey number 17,[1] and for Calder United in the 2016 Football Federation Victoria season[2] She is a member of the Turkey women's national football team since 2010.[3]

Career

Club

Koca plays in the Melbourne Victory team under the number 17. She is considered as one of the most versatile players of her team. She is able to play in every outfield position, being found mostly on the right flank. Showing great technical ability and possessing positive ball control, she is both an attacker and defender.[4]

International

Gülcan Koca was called up for the Turkey women's national team in June 2010,[5] and made her debut at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification – UEFA Group 5 match against Austria team on 23 June 2010.[6][7] She played also at the UEFA Women's Euro 2013 qualifying – Group 2 matches.[8][9] Until end of March 2012, she capped 14 times in the national team.[3]
