Global Records is a Romanian record label launched in 2008 by businessman Ștefan Lucian.[1] As of 2018, they have produced a number of hits on Romania's music charts.[2] Global Records has signed artists such as Inna and has been deemed "one of Romania's biggest exports" by The Guardian.[3][4] In January 2020, Romanian Television (TVR) announced that they would collaborate with the label for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020,[5][6] yielding in Roxen being selected to represent Romania in the contest.[7] However, the event was eventually cancelled due to the pandemic of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in China and its spread to other countries.[8]
